Description

Use the Target Reviews connector to retrieve and analyze customer feedback on items sold on https://www.target.com.

 

Data limitations

This data connector supports only the US Target web site.

 

Target does not impose limitations on the amount of data that you can pull, but for products with a very large number of reviews you may want to limit it yourself using the Comment Limit option or by narrowing the date range.

 

If you have issues with no data, try widening your date range on the second page of the wizard.

 

Input fields

When setting up the connector, provide the URL of the product or products for which you want to analyze customer reviews. 

  • Target Product URL: On the Target web site, navigate to the product and from the address bar, copy the URL, then paste it into this field.

  • Add new search: To analyze multiple versions of the product or multiple products, click this as many times as needed to add more URLs.

  • Upload: Click to upload a file containing a list of product URLs. Takes a TXT file with one URL per line.
    (CSV is also acceptable, but it must have one URL per line.)

  • Comment Limit: To avoid returning too much data, it is a good practice to set a limit on the number of comments returned.

You can change your date range on the second page of the wizard, or optionally Schedule data crawls to update your data stream periodically.

AuthorID

  • Description: Unique identifier for the reviewer at Target.

  • Category: user index

  • Example: 3a236d05-3866-54b4-9b1f-89a8c44ce054

ComfortRating

  • Description: Reviewer’s star rating of the comfort of the product.

  • Category: KPI

crawler_time_stamp

  • Description: Date and time on which the review was crawled.

  • Category: meta

  • Example: 1580242023338

DataSource

  • Description: Data source of the review.

  • Category: meta

  • Example: Target

Date

  • Description: Date and time on which the product was reviewed.

  • Category: date index

  • Example: While putting this together I ran into several problems with the quality. First, the stickers for the floor, walls and ceilings are not lined up with the screw holes. Throughout the process I noticed that some of the holes weren't in the right places either. This makes the walls not one up with the floors, etc. No corner is even, there are gaps and overlaps everywhere. I had to fill and redrill one hole because the piece wouldn't even fit in. The stairs aren't even a little bit secure and the elevator is very hard to move up and down. The furniture pieces don't fit and stay together and the dolly's heads keep coming off. The reason I gave this 3 stars is solely because my kids love it so much. They haven't stopped playing with it in 4 days. They don't care about the shoddy craftsmanship so I figure that's worth something. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
