Description

Use the TripAdvisor Hotel Review connector to retrieve and analyze hotel reviews.

 

Data limitations

This data connector works with any global TripAdvisor web site.

 

TripAdvisor.com does not impose limitations on the amount of data that you can pull, but for very large hotels you may want to limit it yourself using the Comment Limit option or by narrowing the date range.

 

If you have issues with no data, try widening your date range on the second page of the wizard.

 

Input fields

When setting up the connector, you can filter your results by date.

  • Hotel Name: Type the name of the hotel you want to analyze, and then select it when it appears in the list of suggestions.

  • Comment Limit: Specify a limit on the number of reviews to return. You can also control this with data range and recurrence settings.

  • Data Source: Enter a name for the data stream.

You can change your date range on the second page of the wizard, or optionally Schedule data crawls to update your data stream periodically.

This connector returns the following fields that you can use in analysis.

  • Description: Returns a unique identifier for the record from Stratifyd's cache.

  • Description: Returns the free-form text of the review.

  • Example: Antony the owner of Seaside Studio and houses is a truly gentleman and an amazing host . When I booked the studio he sent me the most detailed info how to get to his property. Then when we arrived he spent time to show us in the map the best beaches , restaurants, places to go in Mykonos . The second day we hai back at the studio and we found a beautiful basket full of fresh fruits and a bottle of wine . A gift from Mr. Antony . We booked a studio and it was a gem : very clean , with a kitchenette , with an amazing terrace overlooking Kalo Livadi beach . ( just few step and you at the beach ). The location is beautiful and very quiet , however Mykonos town is only 15 minutes away by car . We had an amazing stay ! Thank you Antony for your kindness ! You an amazing host !
