What does it do?
The Google My Business data connector helps to bring in customer reviews and business responses to those reviews from individual business locations – including bank branches, retail locations, auto dealerships, restaurants, insurance agents, and more. This connector will provide review information and relevant meta data into the platform for each location specified – for not only your locations, but also those of your competitors.
You can use Google My Business Connector in two ways.

Google My Business – Map Search
This connector will allow you to specify a search area and bring back location reviews that fall within the search which would (i.e.Target Missouri, coffee in St. Louis, etc.)

Google My Business – URL Search
This connector will allow you to select a specific locations by entering that location’s Google My Business URL. (i.e.Target locations at 123 Main Street and 234 Sunny Vale)

Using the Google My Business Connector
When you Create a New Data Stream using the Google My Business connector, you can toggle between the two search modes: Map Search and URL Search.
We’ll describe how to utilize Map Search first.

Create a new data stream and select the Google My Business connector. Toggle to Map Search, as illustrated above.

The Google My Business – Map Search connector will require links from Google Maps. Links can be gathered by using Google Maps and searching broadly for a specific business, type of business and/or location. For example, you can search by

Specific businesses: Joe's Coffee Shop

Specific business locations: Joe's Coffee Shop in Philadelphia

Types of places: Coffee near Central Park

Narrow results by using the city and state: Coffee in Atlanta, GA

3. When the search is returned, copy the URL in your browser's address bar, and paste it into the first line of the Google My Business Map Search connector. Multiple searches may be entered, one per row. If an incorrect link format is added, a red warning will show on the link.
4. Next, specify a maximum number of records to return, a data range, and designate this to be a one-time or recurring data stream.
5. On the final screen, streams can also be named, tagged, and shared with others.
6. Click Submit to begin ingesting your data.
Google My Business – URL Search Mode

Create a new data stream and select the Google My Business connector. Toggle to URL Search.

The Google My Business – URL Search connector will require links from Google Maps.

Links can be gathered by using Google Maps and searching for the specific location you would like (i.e. Target Hampton Ave). When the location is returned, copy and paste the URL into the Google My Business – URL Search mode. Multiple locations may be entered.

Next, specify a maximum number of records to return, a data range, and designate this to be a one-time or recurring data stream.
