Description
The PubMed data connector retrieves biomedicine and health sciences data from the U.S. National Library of Medicine.
Data Limitations
At this time, data from 2018 to present is available. Note that the scope of PubMed is limited to abstracts.
Input Fields
Enter your desired search terms. You can input multiple strings with AND or OR logic.
Using the PubMed Data Connector
- Within the desired workspace, create a new data stream.
- Choose the PubMed connector from the Other section.
- Enter your search term. Separate multiple search terms with a comma. You can also adjust the number of results. you’d like to retrieve on this screen. Click Next.
- At this point, you can set the time range and decide whether it will be retrieved once or on a recurring basis, to discover new citations. Click Next.
- On the final screen, enter a name for your new data stream as well as a description. You can also add tags and share your stream with colleagues. Click Submit when you’re finished.
Output fields
The following fields are stores as columns.
Authors
- Description: Names of the associated authors, separated by commas.
- Category: meta
- Example: [ “Joe Smith”, “Helen Jones”]
Content
- Description: This column contains the text of the abstract.
- Category: text_input
- Example: Covid-19 endangers lives, has disrupted normal life, changed the way medicine is practiced and is likely to alter our world for the foreseeable future…
Date
- Description: Publication date
- Category: date index

Datasource
- Description: Data source of the review
